PHILIPSBURG:--- On Wednesday, March 30th, Honorable Minister Silveria Jacobs attended a literacy evening hosted by Group Four and Three teachers of the Methodist Agogic Center at the University of St. Martin.
As reading has been highlighted in a variety of ways during this academic year at the MAC school, the goal of the literacy evening was to inspire more students to read more.
Readers at the literacy evening included Minister Jacobs, Clara Reyes of the National Institute of Art, teachers from the MAC school and others.

Around 1000 volunteers successfully completed 43 projects registered by 30 various organizations from all around the Dutch side of the island. The SXM DOET team was thrilled to see that so many organizations and volunteers that participated last year signed up for SXM DOET 2016.
